Subsequent to this flavourful repast two of the Hospitality-Sisters conducted us to the Swithelbury Knowledge-Salon. Here gathering ourselves about a cheerful hearth we drank of the mulled cider bubbling away in a pot, and awaited the arrival of the Abbess, Sister Angelica.
We had not long to wait. Seeming to walk on air, the skirt of her habit rustling softly, the Abbess glided toward us and greeting each one of us by name, settled herself into a comfortable high-backed chair. Then with a genial smile invited our first question. Keen with curiousity we all spoke at once
