Myths, in one form or another - a universal language. We find them in one form or another, in every age and clime throughout the world. As today we pick our way through the traces of prehistory, who can fail to find remarkable their survival through titanic cataclysms of fire and brimstone, of flood and quake? Traditions everywhere hold that at the dawn of the human race, during a temperate Golden Age, there lived ancient wise ones who possessed vast knowledge of the universe - of its working, its purpose - and the purpose of an evolving human soul.
